Oncor Transmission Line Information & Resources

As energy demands grow within the Dallas-Fort Worth area, additional electricity infrastructure must be built. One infrastructure project is the Ramhorn Hill – Dunham 345 kV Transmission Line Project, which is pending construction by the Oncor Electric Delivery Company.

The transmission line will begin in the City of Rhome, pass through the Town of Northlake, and end in the Town of Flower Mound. Unfortunately, the proposed routes through Northlake territory threaten to disrupt established communities and future business developments.

Mayor Rettig and the Town Council have worked with other affected municipalities to find alternate routes. Construction further south in Town would minimize community disruption. On January 12th, 2023, the Town Council unanimously passed a resolution to pursue a southern route for the transmission line.
