Home Rule Charter

During a Special Election held on May 1, 2021, the Town of Northlake Home Rule Charter was adopted by the voters. The codified version of the Charter is available to view online.   

Code of Ordinances

The Code of Ordinances is a compilation of ordinances adopted by the Town Council. The Code of Ordinances is updated periodically, but it may not include the most recent ordinances. The Ordinance number and date of approval for which the Code is current through are listed on the main page of the online Code of Ordinances.

A new page will open to the Northlake Code of Ordinances site maintained by General Code. The table of contents is on the left side of the page. Select the file folder icon to reveal the contents of the folder. Keep doing this until you see a document icon. The document text will show in the main frame of the page when you select the text icon. Visit the help page for more information on navigating the site.

Ordinances

An ordinance is a law adopted by the Town Council. Ordinances which have been approved but not yet codified can be found in the New Laws section of the Code. 

Resolutions

A resolution is a formal expression of opinion or intention of the Town Council.
