Changes in the recycling market have drastically impacted which items can and cannot be accepted. Unfortunately these changes are out of the Town’s control.
When unacceptable items are included in a recycling load, the entire load must be taken to the landfill; so, if you recycle responsibly but your neighbor does not, your recycling still ends up in the landfill. That’s why it’s important to know what to throw!
