[ARCHIVED] June 2020 Water Use

Town water use has reached or exceeded 100% of the Town’s daily subscription on 5 of 11 days this June. Exceeding our daily subscription forces the Town to purchase additional capacity that will not be needed the rest of the year.

Water conservation is everyone’s responsibility!

By making just a few changes to your lawn and landscape irrigation routine, you can lower your monthly bill and help the Town stay within safe water supply levels.

  1. Do not water at night

    • Give it a rest! Overnight watering makes it difficult for the water supply to replenish itself; help keep water availability at a safe level by only watering during early morning hours (4:00 to 8:00 am)
  2. Take your turn

    • Each home is allowed two watering days per week according to the street address, so know your days and stick to them! Even addresses may water on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and odd addresses may water on Sundays and Thursdays.
  3. Water for one hour only

    • One hour is enough time to give your lawn and landscaping the water it needs. Set your irrigation system to one hour only all stations.
