Area stats for self-response rates to the US Census are available now, and we’ve got some work to do! The Census is only conducted every 10 years, and with the rapid growth in our area it’s more important than ever to make sure you and your family are counted.

The Census counts every person living in the United States once; that means you!

Your response affects our community.

The results of the 2020 Census will help determine:

• The number of Texas delegates in the House of Representatives
• Important infrastructure such as roads and highways
• Where businesses such as restaurants, grocery stores and other retailers will locate next
• Locations for parks and open space, fire stations, hospitals and other important community services

Your information is protected.

It is against the law for the Census Bureau to release your information to the public or other government bodies; when you submit your information, it is safe within the Census Bureau.

In 2020, it’s easier than ever before to complete the Census.
