It's time for the Northlake Fall Cleanup!! Bulk trash receptacles will be available for Northlake residents in the parking lot of the Public Works building on Saturday, November 5th from 9am to 1pm for our biannual Cleanup Day!! Shredding and e-recycling will also be available!! Please bring your driver's license for proof of residency and carefully review all acceptable and unacceptable items below:

Accepted items: bulk waste includes waste not generated on a regular basis, such as: furniture (couches, tables, mattresses, box springs, desks, dressers, etc.), refrigerators and AC units (MUST be tagged with a Freon evacuation certificate by a licensed agent), appliances (washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc.), hot water heaters, electronics (if disposing of a printer, the ink MUST be taken out), fencing/decking/siding (please remove nails, cut into lengths 4' or less, tie and bundle under 50 pounds), trampolines (broken down), basketball goals (broken down into section 4' or shorter, no concrete in base or poles), carpeting and flooring (please cut into lengths 4' or shorter, tie and bundle under 50 pounds).

Items not accepted: hazardous material of any kind, dirt, waste generated by a private contractor (remodeling, landscaping), rocks, motor oil, pesticides/insecticides, gasoline/kerosene, medical waste, bricks, tile, batteries, paint (liquid), gasoline, fertilizer, concrete, tires, pool chemicals and cooking oil.

What to Shred (Paper Only Please!): banking information, employment information, loan office paperwork, canceled checks and financial statements, payroll information, copies of checks, folders, magazines, social security information, credit card statements, insurance information, medical records, education records and junk mail.

*No need to remove paper clips, staples, file folders or rubber bands. We can shred those!

Acceptable for E-Recycling (Small Household Electronics): cell phones, laptops, tablets, computer towers, monitors, keyboards and mice, computer speakers, power cords and other small household electronics.
