Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held before the Northlake Planning & Zoning Commission at a meeting to begin at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Northlake Town Hall, 1500 Commons Circle, Suite 300, Northlake, Texas, and before the Northlake Town Council at a meeting to begin at 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Northlake Town Hall, 1500 Commons Circle, Suite 300, Northlake, Texas. The purpose of the hearings is to hear comments for or against proposed text amendments to revise Section 5.7 “Permitted Use Table” of the Unified Development Code (UDC) related to public schools in the RR – Rural Residential, CRO – Conservation Residential Overlay, and RE – Rural Estate zoning districts. Case # UDC-22-003.
Public schools are currently a permitted use in the RR, CRO, and RE zoning districts. This proposed UDC amendment is to require a Specific Use Permit (SUP) for public schools in these zoning districts. Please direct any questions or comments to Nathan Reddin, Development Director.
